Investigation reports
The Commissioner reports publicly on investigations of people who may have broken the rules of the Conflict of Interest Act, or the Conflict of Interest Code for Members of the House of Commons. Investigations are called “examinations” under the Act, and “inquiries” under the Code.
The titles of most investigation reports contain the names of the Members or public office holders who were investigated. Ministers and parliamentary secretaries, who must follow the Act and the Code, may be investigated under both sets of rules.
Investigation report summaries
This table summarizes all the public reports the Commissioner’s Office has released on investigations under the Conflict of Interest Act and the Conflict of Interest Code for Members of the House of Commons. It lets you sort them by when they were released, the person the Commissioner investigated, what claims led to the investigation, and what rules the Commissioner considered. You can also see at a glance if those rules were broken.
