Travel on non-commercial chartered or private aircraft
From: Charlottetown, Prince-Edward-Island
To: Havre-aux-maisons, Îles-de-la-Madeleine
Date: 2017-07-16
Circumstances: On July 16, 2017, I was travelling to the Îles-de-la-Madeleine as part of my official duties and responsibilities and was accompanied by Ms. Soraya Martinez, Senior Advisor in my office. Following a flight error, an alternative flight leaving Charlottetown was made available to us and so we travelled on the private aircraft of Atelier Hangar Inc. We accepted this flight aboard a private aircraft due to exceptional circumstances and it was acceptable under the Act. Two invoices for the travel were submitted by Atelier Hangar Inc. and paid for individually by Soraya Martinez and myself. Following the payment, the initial flight company reimbursed Soraya Martinez and myself for the additional costs of transport to the Îles-de-la-Madeleine.
